Centreon 2.6.x < 2.6.2 File Upload RCE

medium Nessus Plugin ID 87052

Synopsis

The remote web server contains a PHP application that is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

According to its version number, the Centreon application hosted on the remote web server is 2.6.x prior to 2.6.2. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability due to improper sanitization of user-uploaded files via the main.php script. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via the 'filename' POST parameter, to upload a malicious PHP file to a user-accessible path, which allows the file to be later executed by a direct request.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Centreon version 2.6.2 or later.
