Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

It was discovered that incorrect memory allocation in the NetScape Portable Runtime library might result in denial of service or the execution of arbitrary code.

Solution

Upgrade the nspr packages.

For the oldstable distribution (wheezy), this problem has been fixed in version 2:4.9.2-1+deb7u3.

For the stable distribution (jessie), this problem has been fixed in version 2:4.10.7-1+deb8u1.
