Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 14.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-2915-3 advisory.

 USN-2915-1 fixed vulnerabilities in Django. The upstream fix for CVE-2016-2512 introduced a regression for certain applications. This update fixes the problem by applying the complete upstream regression fix.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-django package.
