Synopsis

A multimedia application framework installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

The version of Microsoft Silverlight installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability due to improper handling of objects in memory. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by convincing a user to visit a website containing a specially crafted Silverlight application, to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.

Solution

Microsoft has released a set of patches for Silverlight 5.
