The remote web server contains an application that is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe Connect installed on the remote host is prior to 9.5.7. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the apsb16-35 advisory.

- Adobe Connect version 9.5.6 and earlier does not adequately validate input in the events registration module. This vulnerability could be exploited in cross-site scripting attacks. (CVE-2016-7851)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Connect version 9.5.7 or later.
