Synopsis

The remote mobile host is vulnerable to a buffer overflow.

Description

Version 3.0 of Apple iOS is vulnerable to a flaw in the way that it handles malformed SMS text messages. An attacker, exploiting this flaw, would be able to execute arbitrary code on the remote mobile device.

Solution

Upgrade to iOS version 3.0.1 or later.
