The remote host is running a version of RealPlayer multimedia application that may be vulnerable to a buffer overflow attack vector.
Description
Versions of RealPlayer 16.0.5.x prior to 16.0.5.18 and 16.0.6.x prior to 16.0.6.3 on Windows are potentially affected by a vulnerability that is triggered as certain input is not properly validated when handling a specially crafted MP4 file with an 'elst' atom containing an overly large 'stsz' atom size. This may allow a context-dependent attacker to cause a buffer overflow, potentially allowing the execution of arbitrary code.
Solution
Windows users should upgrade to RealPlayer 16.0.6.3 or later. If version 16.0.6.x cannot be obtained, version 16.0.5.18 has also been patched for this vulnerability.
