Synopsis

A Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.0 and earlier (All versions) and any other cases where "Encrypted Communication" is disabled.

Description

If affected installations do not have "Encrypted Communication" configured, an unauthenticated attacker with network access may be able to execute arbitrary code.
