Description

The high-performance SIMATIC RF680R reader has four antenna connections that can be configured as required for individual read stations, or as gates. Data communication in the RF680R is executed either via an XML protocol with TCP/IP, by means of an S7 protocol via PROFINET, via EtherNet/IP or by means of OPC UA. The reader can be operated with PROFIBUS via the communication module ASM 456. Two Ethernet interfaces are available for data and diagnostics, one of which has PROFINET capability.
