The web server component of SBLIM-SFCB that is listening on the remote host contains multiple heap-based buffer overflows that can be triggered by sending an HTTP request with a specially crafted Content-Length header.  Specifically :

 - There is a particular scenario where heap corruption can    exist if httpMaxContentLength in sfcb.cfg is set to 0    and the Content-Length of a request is 4294967290,    getPayload() will try to memcpy() into an incorrectly    sized buffer due to wrap around (we add 8 to    Content-Length in the malloc). Also, sfcb.cfg states    that the default value for httpMaxContentLength _is_ 0,    which is untrue.

 - httpAdapter contains a heap overflow that is caused by an    HTTP request with the Content-Length value being smaller    than the actual size of the payload. The affect of this bug    can cause the handling HTTP process to crash. If the    request is specially crafted, arbitrary code execution    could occur.

Successful exploit of these vulnerabilities may result in a server crash or execution of arbitrary code in the context of the server.

Updated the sources and fixed the init script.

  c. ESX third-party update for Service Console nss and nspr RPMs     The Service Console Network Security Services (NSS) and Netscape    Portable Runtime (NSPR) libraries are updated to nspr-4.8.6-1    and nss-3.12.8-4 resolving multiple security issues.

  d. vCenter Server and ESX, Oracle (Sun) JRE update 1.6.0_24

   Oracle (Sun) JRE is updated to version 1.6.0_24, which addresses    multiple security issues that existed in earlier releases of    Oracle (Sun) JRE.

f. Integer overflow in VMware third-party component sfcb

   This release resolves an integer overflow issue present in the    third-party library SFCB when the httpMaxContentLength has been    changed from its default value to 0 in in /etc/sfcb/sfcb.cfg.
   The integer overflow could allow remote attackers to cause a    denial of service (heap memory corruption) or possibly execute    arbitrary code via a large integer in the Content-Length HTTP    header.
     The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org)    has assigned the name CVE-2010-2054 to this issue.

The remote VMware ESX / ESXi host is missing a security-related patch.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities, including remote code execution vulnerabilities, in several third-party components and libraries :

  - Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
  - libuser
  - Netscape Portable Runtime (NSPR) 
  - Network Security Services (NSS)
  - OpenSSL
