  - Heap-based buffer overflow in the jp2_decode function in JasPer 1.900.1 and earlier allows remote     attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted JPEG 2000     file. (CVE-2014-8138)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.

This update for netpbm fixes the following security issues :

  - CVE-2017-2581: An out-of-bounds write in     writeRasterPbm() could lead to memory corruption and     potential code execution. (bsc#1024287)
