This plugin has been deprecated as it does not adhere to established standards for this style of check.

Update to 0.7.6, security fix for CVE-2016-2191

optipng was updated to fix one security issue.

  - CVE-2016-3982: Heap buffer overflow pngxrbmp.c     bmp_rle4_fread

The bmp_read_rows function in pngxtern/pngxrbmp.c in OptiPNG before 0.7.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid memory write and crash) via a series of delta escapes in a crafted BMP image.(CVE-2016-2191)

The remote Ubuntu 14.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-2951-1 advisory.
