A path traversal in the in     usb_mtp_write_data function in hw/usb/dev-mtp.c due to an improper filename sanitization. When the guest     device is mounted in read-write mode, this allows to read/write arbitrary files which may lead do DoS     scenario OR possibly lead to code execution on the host. (CVE-2018-16867)

  - hw/rdma/vmw/pvrdma_main.c in QEMU does not implement a read operation (such as uar_read by analogy to     uar_write), which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference).

  - A flaw was found in qemu Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). The code opening files in usb_mtp_get_object and     usb_mtp_get_partial_object and directories in usb_mtp_object_readdir doesn't consider that the underlying     filesystem may have changed since the time lstat(2) was called in usb_mtp_object_alloc, a classical     TOCTTOU problem. An attacker with write access to the host filesystem shared with a guest can use this     property to navigate the host filesystem in the context of the QEMU process and read any file the QEMU     process has access to. Access to the filesystem may be local or via a network share protocol such as CIFS.

  - ip_reass in ip_input.c in libslirp 4.0.0 has a     heap-based buffer overflow via a large packet because     it mishandles a case involving the first     fragment.(CVE-2019-14378)

  - An issue was discovered in ide_dma_cb() in     hw/ide/core.c in QEMU 2.4.0 through 4.2.0. The guest     system can crash the QEMU process in the host system     via a special SCSI_IOCTL_SEND_COMMAND. It hits an     assertion that implies that the size of successful DMA     transfers there must be a multiple of 512 (the size of     a sector). NOTE: a member of the QEMU security team     disputes the significance of this issue because a     'privileged guest user has many ways to cause similar     DoS effect, without triggering this     assert.'(CVE-2019-20175)

  - hw/sparc64/sun4u.c in QEMU 3.1.50 is vulnerable to a     NULL pointer dereference, which allows the attacker to     cause a denial of service via a device     driver.(CVE-2019-5008)
