The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has one or more packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged by the vendor but will not be patched.

  - kernel: stack-based buffer overflow in chap_server_compute_md5() in iscsi target (CVE-2018-14633)

  - kernel: infinite loop in update_blocked_averages() in kernel/sched/fair.c leading to denial of service     (CVE-2018-20784)

  - The compat_get_timex function in kernel/compat.c in the Linux kernel before 4.16.9 allows local users to     obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via adjtimex. (CVE-2018-11508)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied on the package manager's report that the package is installed.

It was discovered that the IPv6 routing implementation in the Linux kernel contained a reference counting error leading to a use-after-free vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code.
