AIOHTTP < 3.7.4 Open Redirect Vulnerability

medium Web App Scanning Plugin ID 113196

Synopsis

AIOHTTP < 3.7.4 Open Redirect Vulnerability

Description

According to its self-reported version, the AIOHTTP server hosted on the remote host is prior to version 3.7.4. It is, therefore, affected by a open redirect vulnerability. A maliciously crafted link to an aiohttp-based web-server could redirect the clients browser to a different website.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to AIOHTTP version 3.7.4 or later.
