Description

According to its self-reported version, the Webmin install hosted on the remote host is prior to 1.974. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

- A Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) that allow to achieve Remote Command Execution (RCE) through Webmin running process feature.

- A Reflected Cross Site Scripting (XSS) that allow to achieve Remote Command Execution through Webmin running process feature.

- A Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) that allow to create a privileged user through Webmin add users feature.

- A Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability through the Scheduled Cron Jobs feature.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability through the Scheduled Cron Jobs feature.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability through the Upload and Download feature.

- A Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability through Upload and Download feature.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability through the Add Users feature.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability through the File Manager feature.

- A Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability through the File Manager feature.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Webmin version 1.974 or latest.
