Atlassian Confluence 7.1.x < 7.12.3 DLL Hijacking

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the Atlassian Confluence application running on the remote host is prior to 7.4.10 or 7.5.0 prior to 7.12.3. It therefore may be affected by a weakness when deployed onto the Windows operating system environment allows allow authenticated local attackers to achieve elevated privileges on the local system via a DLL Hijacking vulnerability in the Confluence installer.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 7.12.3 or later.
