MediaWiki < 1.17.2 Deleted Text Exposure

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of MediaWiki hosted on the remote web server is prior to 1.17.2 or 1.18.x prior to 1.18.1. It is, therefore, affected by a flaw which may allow remote attackers to view deleted text via the prop=revisions parameter.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to MediaWiki version 1.17.2 or later.
