Drupal 10.2.x < 10.2.10 Improper Error Handling

medium Web App Scanning Plugin ID 114456

Synopsis

Drupal 10.2.x < 10.2.10 Improper Error Handling

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of Drupal running on the remote web server is 10.2.x prior to 10.2.10. Under certain uncommon site configurations, a bug in the CKEditor 5 module can cause some image uploads to move the entire webroot to a different location on the file system. This could be exploited by a malicious user to take down a site.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Drupal version 10.2.10 or latest.
