Mastodon 4.2.x < 4.2.13 Regular Expression Denial of Service

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the version of Mastodon running on the remote host is prior to 4.1.20 or 4.2.x prior to 4.2.12. Therefore, it may be affected by a regular expression denial of service vulnerability.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mastodon version 4.2.12 or later.
