Joomla! 5.x < 5.2.4 SQL injection

medium Web App Scanning Plugin ID 114602

Synopsis

Joomla! 5.x < 5.2.4 SQL injection

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of Joomla! running on the remote web server is 4.x prior to 4.4.11 or 5.x prior to 5.2.4. It is, therefore, affected by a SQL injection vulnerability in the backend task list of com_scheduler due to improperly built order clauses.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Joomla! version 5.2.4 or latest.
