Webmin < 2.100 Multiple Vulnerabilities

Description

According to its self-reported version, the Webmin install hosted on the remote host is prior to 2.100. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Users Real name parameter.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Group Name field.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the download functionality via crafted path.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Bypass vulnerability exists in the file upload functionality.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Users and Groups functionality when deleting a user.

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the HTTP Tunnel functionality via third-party URL.

- A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the package search functionality.

- A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Configuration settings of the system logs functionality.

- A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the System Logs Viewer functionality.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Webmin version 2.100 or latest.
