Tenable Announces Channel Partners for Nessus ProfessionalFeed Subscription

Tenable partners with leading VARs to provide the ProfessionalFeed subscription to global Nessus user base 

Tenable Network Security, Inc., the leader in unified security monitoring and creator of the popular and award-winning Nessus^® vulnerability scanner, today announces Force 3 and Software House International (SHI) as Tenable’s authorized channel partners for the Nessus ProfessionalFeed Subscription. 

Tenable’s Nessus vulnerability scanner, is the world-leader in active scanners, featuring high speed discovery, configuration auditing, asset profiling, sensitive data discovery, and vulnerability analysis of your security posture. 

Over the last five years, Tenable has seen Nessus grow globally to over 5 million downloads. The core Nessus engine is powered by Tenable’s world-class vulnerability research content which includes over 23,000 plugins, enhanced features such as IPv6 scanning, free mailing lists, online search tools, and free clients. Nessus has become not only a popular tool for conducting security audits but Tenable has extended its capabilities to conduct agent-less patch audits and configuration audits, as well as locating sensitive data. Looking forward, Tenable plans to further increase functionality, such as SMBv2 support to better audit Windows 2008 and Windows Vista, and further expand our abilities to conduct even more comprehensive vulnerability, PCI compliance and configuration audits. 

ProfessionalFeed Subscription

Tenable’s ProfessionalFeed Subscription for Nessus is a commercial annual subscription that permits individuals and organizations to use the Tenable Plugins in conjunction with Nessus to detect vulnerabilities on their systems or networks or on the systems or networks of a third party for which they perform scanning services, auditing services, incident response services, quality assurance and other lab testing, vulnerability assessment services or other security consulting services.

 Tenable’s Authorized Channel Partners for ProfessionalFeed Subscription

To serve the broad Nessus installed base, Tenable has designated two channel partners to handle the ProfessionalFeed subscriptions and has committed to a channel procurement model. 

US Federal Marketplace

For the US Federal Government marketplace, Tenable has partnered with Force 3. Force 3 is one of Cisco’s top five federal Cisco Gold Partners in America. Tenable chose to partner with Force 3 because of their more than 15 years of being a leading IT product and solutions integrator, delivering, supporting and maintaining the latest products and implementation services to the ever-changing needs of the Federal Government. “We are very aware of the vast installed base that Nessus has in the Federal Government and are honored to be chosen as Tenable’s Federal channel partner for the ProfessionalFeed subscription” said Kari Yent, Force 3’s Vice President of Vendor Relations. 

Global Commercial Marketplace

For the global commercial marketplace, Tenable has partnered with SHI.   SHI is a global procurement outsourcing company and leading business-to-business solution provider. Tenable chose to partner with SHI based on their broad Fortune 500 relationships, their distributed international locations and their ability to fulfill orders from small to very large organizations. “Tenable has done a fantastic job bringing Nessus to millions of users around the world.
