Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of tested product installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2020-1545 advisory.

 - In Apache SpamAssassin before 3.4.3, a message can be crafted in a way to use excessive resources.
 Upgrading to SA 3.4.3 as soon as possible is the recommended fix but details will not be shared publicly.
 (CVE-2019-12420)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update spamassassin' to update your system.
