Atlassian Confluence < 7.11.0 SSRF (CONFSERVER-61453)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 149439

Synopsis

A web application running on the remote host is affected by a server-side request forgery vulnerability

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the Atlassian Confluence application running on the remote host is prior to 7.11.0 . It is, therefore, affected by a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its Team Calendar REST API component. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by sending crafted requests, to identify internal hosts and ports.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 7.11.0 or later.
