Synopsis

The remote web server contains an application that is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe Connect installed on the remote host is prior to 11.2.2. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the apsb21-36 advisory.

- Adobe Connect version 11.2.1 (and earlier) is affected by an Improper access control vulnerability that can lead to the elevation of privileges. An attacker with 'Learner' permissions can leverage this scenario to access the list of event participants. (CVE-2021-28579)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Connect version 11.2.2 or later.
