Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

The version of QNAP QTS / QuTS hero installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the QSA-23-42 advisory. A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow users to read the contents of unexpected files and expose sensitive data via a network.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
