Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of python-wheel installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-40898 advisory.

- An issue discovered in Python Packaging Authority (PyPA) Wheel 0.37.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via attacker controlled input to wheel cli. (CVE-2022-40898)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
