Tenable Network Security Expands EMEA Team

Increased demand for real-time vulnerability management sees workforce treble
Tenable Network Security, the leader in real-time vulnerability management, today announced that it has trebled its EMEA team in the past year to address vastly increased pressure on organisations to detect and respond to vulnerabilities and security holes.
The expansion is spearheaded by David Cummins who has been appointed VP EMEA to drive business growth focused on addressing rising demand for real-time detection to lower overall security risk, increase compliance and avoid costly security breaches.
The move comes as a result of a rising awareness of the risks posed through network intrusion among high level management across the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, as well as emerging markets. In response to increased and accelerated demand, Tenable has adapted and enhanced its product range to address local market needs. Tenable Network Security GmbH, the recently opened German office, offers a BSI compliance audit to cater for Germany's stringent data protection regulations.
Tenable Network Security VP EMEA David Cummins said: “The past year has been phenomenal for us. The European market has become increasingly aware of the value of its data and is acting to secure it. While periodic active vulnerability scanning was perceived as enough to provide assessment of the threats facing organisations, this is no longer sufficient with the increasing use of laptops & BYOD. As a natural evolution, passive scanning allows continuous and real-time monitoring, enabling businesses to act quickly.”
Cummins, who joined Tenable three years ago, brings a wealth of experience in building sustainable partnerships and establishing infrastructure to further drive growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“This growth is a crucial step towards making Tenable a truly European offering to help the growing pressure to plug security holes early. It is testament that organisations across EMEA are coming to consider real-time vulnerability management as an essential part of their security makeup.”
