Vulcan brings more than 100 additional third-party integrations and enhanced remediation workflows to the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, enabling organizations to prioritize their security risk based on contextualized and enriched intelligence.

At our core, Tenable is dedicated to exposing and closing the security gaps that put businesses at risk. Today, we announce a significant advancement in that mission with the acquisition of Vulcan Cyber, whose capabilities will soon enhance the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform.

The role of exposure management

As the cyber attack surface expands exponentially, so does the number of security tools meant to manage it. Unfortunately, these scattered tools often overwhelm security teams with fragmented insights — resulting in endless alerts, isolated data and conflicting recommendations on how to address threats — making it nearly impossible to understand what matters most.

Exposure management addresses these challenges by shifting preventive security from securing technology silos to applying contextual risk intelligence to protect the business. Since the launch of the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform in 2022, we’ve helped customers:

  • Gain visibility and control across the entire attack surface
  • Prioritize exposure risk based on contextualized and enriched intelligence
  • Foster collaboration among security teams and remediation owners using automated workflows and remediation guidance
  • Remediate more critical findings and reduce mean time to remediate (MTTR)

Expanding Tenable One with Vulcan Cyber

By integrating Vulcan Cyber’s capabilities into Tenable One, we will expand our ecosystem of third-party data integrations across vulnerability assessment, endpoint, cloud and application security, which will provide our customers with even more visibility and control over their entire attack surface. Vulcan also introduces advanced tagging, intelligent ticketing and automated campaigns that will automatically route security issues to the appropriate teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between security teams and remediation owners.

This acquisition represents a powerful step forward in our vision to build the most advanced exposure management platform on the market — one that doesn’t just highlight weaknesses but actively helps businesses close their most critical security gaps. With Vulcan Cyber’s third-party integrations and automated remediation workflows, combined with Tenable One’s analysis of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across IT, cloud, identity, internet of things (IoT) and operational technology (OT) systems, our customers have the ability to prioritize the most critical actions, automate remediation workflows to improve proactive security and manage everything within a single, user-friendly interface.

Stay tuned for more updates as we integrate Vulcan Cyber into the Tenable ecosystem.
