Three Steps to Knowing Your Network
Security teams often lack accurate knowledge of assets on their networks. In particular, ignorance about laptops, BYODs, services, and SaaS applications can pose significant security risks. Unmanaged patching and noncompliant configurations present weaknesses that can spell trouble for your network. In a recent article on Dark Reading, Three Steps to Knowing Your Network, Ted Gary recommends several security frameworks for creating a robust asset discovery program and he prescribes three steps towards good cyber health.
