Content for the course includes installation and configuration of Tenable Security Center, a review of essential Tenable Security Center operations, a technology overview along with architecture and design discussions for typical environments, and a detailed scanning and analysis review.

Audience

This course is suited for professionals with operational responsibilities using Tenable Security Center who want to expand their knowledge to maximize the solution’s effectiveness. It is recommended for those seeking to obtain Tenable Security Center Specialist Certification.

Prerequisites

Tenable highly recommends that all participants complete the free Tenable Security Center Introduction Course available at Tenable University before attending this course.

CPE/CEU credits

Tenable cannot award CPE credits toward industry certifications as these credits are determined by the certification body (e.g., ISC2, SANS, PCI Council, etc.). Upon completion of a Tenable Instructor-led course, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance which, in most cases, is accepted by the certification body for awarding CPE credit. However, Tenable is an approved training provider towards CompTIA's Security+ certification. Upon receiving one of the approved Tenable Product Certifications, individuals with an active CompTIA Security+ certification can apply for CEUs toward their certification maintenance.

See https://www.certmetrics.com/comptia to apply and upload the required documentation to your CompTIA account. Credit is granted at CompTIA's discretion.

Tenable Security Center Specialist Certification

The Tenable Security Center Specialist Certification is a two-part exam, written and practical, that validates your ability to plan, deploy, verify and troubleshoot the platform. The exam is taken online in a proctored environment. The written exam must first be completed before you are allowed to take the practical exam. Upon successful completion of both exams, a Tenable Security Center Specialist Certification will be provided in electronic format.
