Latest Release of SecurityCenter Continuous View Brings Together Scans, Event Logs and Packet Sniffing into One Comprehensive Platform
Tenable Network Security®, Inc., the leader in real-time vulnerability and threat management, today announced that it has enhanced its leading SecurityCenter Continuous View™ (SecurityCenter CV) platform with integrated threat and vulnerability management—improving security workflows and empowering users to locate vulnerabilities with pinpoint accuracy, perform instant forensic analysis and respond immediately to incidents.
The latest version of SecurityCenter CV adds new analysis capabilities, including the ability to pivot from vulnerability to threat data sources for instant incident response. A new user model allows administrators to define “user owners” for monitored assets, and provides user-specific reports/dashboards to aid in forensic analysis. The new version also includes “asset of assets” modeling, which allows IT administrators to combine and organize the assets that they are tasked with monitoring, improving their analysis and response workflows.
“Successful attacks exploit gaps in programs and technology—gaps that can often be eliminated through improved analysis of existing information,” said Ron Gula, CEO of Tenable Network Security. “By integrating data from existing technologies, and combining it with more sensitive indicators of compromise and vulnerabilities, we’re able to detect hidden attack paths, evasive malware and malicious behavior. We’re improving the value of existing investments to help organizations respond to new threats.”
New in Tenable SecurityCenter CV 4.8
- Pivoting and Contextual Filtering – Without losing context, analysts can move from vulnerability data to threat data, enabling an intuitive analysis. The HTML 5 User Interface simplifies task and incident assignment, and case follow up.
- Combination Asset Modeling – New “asset of assets” modeling makes it easy to handle very large networks and dynamically updates when changes in network and device topology are detected.
- User Based Modeling and Reporting – Administrators can define who owns and manages specific assets, summarize security status by areas of ownership and leverage reports and dashboards that show the security posture by owner, allowing security analysts to focus on their security analysis and incidents.
These enhancements leverage unique underlying technology and integrate logs, scans and network sniffing to dramatically cut the time required to detect and respond to security incidents and compliance failures. * 100% asset discovery * 100% time coverage * 1000s of extensible dashboards, dashboard components, assets and reports in the security industry’s only integrated app store
Tenable SecurityCenter CV 4.8 will be generally available to customers by the end of March. For more information on the latest version of SecurityCenter CV, please visit:
