[R1] Cisco Prime Network Control System (NCS) / Wireless Control System (WCS) login.jsp requestUrl Parameter Reflected XSS

Medium

Synopsis

Cisco Prime Network Control System (NCS) and Wireless Control System (WCS) contains a flaw that allows a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This flaw exists because the login.jsp script does not validate input to the 'requestUrl' GET parameter before returning it to users. This may allow a context-dependent attacker to create a specially crafted request that would execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser session within the trust relationship between their browser and the server.

Solution

This has apparently been fixed in a subsequent version of each product. Tenable is working with Cisco to determine exact versions.
